Safety Floors

Ensuring safety in high-risk areas prone to slips and falls is crucial. Tarkett offers a range of slip-resistant flooring options designed to prevent accidents and promote overall safety.
Our safety floors, available in homogeneous vinyl (offering the lowest lifetime cost) and heterogeneous vinyl (providing diverse design choices), are durable and easy to maintain. Tailored to different usage scenarios – whether for wear foot or barefoot areas – our floors are featuring R10 to R12 ratings, and some collections are also rated class C.

Safetred floors are manufactured with either aluminium oxide or silicon carbide which runs through the floor itself, this ensures it’s slip resistant for the entire lifetime of the floor and not just until the surface layer wears away.

Most safety floors are problematic in terms of recycling but through innovation and investment, the entire Safetred collection can be recycled and re-used. The collection is produced using 42% recycled content, is phthalate free and has VOC levels 10 times lower than European standards.
