"SOLEIL D'AUTOMNE” NURSING HOME IN SAINT-LAURENT-BLANGY

The "Soleil d’Automne" nursing home extension was planned to welcome patients with Alzheimer’s in one part of the building. This 3400 sqm extension includes 29 new rooms and the renovation of 8 more. In this extension, residents benefit from a welcoming and serene atmosphere thanks to the use of appropriate colours on floors and walls, and even more thanks to the "FloorInMotion Care" equipment installed in the 37 resident bedrooms and bathrooms.

What is the “FloorInMotion Care” solution?

A non-intrusive connected solution

The FloorInMotion Care solution is installed under the flooring. It is made of various elements:

• A sensor under the flooring: it senses abnormal movements on the floor and can be programmed to sense these movements at certain times (at night for example).
• An electronic card that receives signals from the sensor: it receives the signals emitted by the sensor and sends information to the web interface managed by the nursing home staff.
• A user-friendly web interface developed for the nursing home staff

The solution doesn’t require electricity and is totally safe because it doesn’t generate electromagnetic waves and is approved for use in wet areas such as bathrooms.

More safety for residents

With the “FloorInMotion Care” solution, the nursing home staff is notified of any abnormal incident such as a resident’s fall or an intrusion for example. This feature contributes to improve the safety of residents. The FloorInMotion Care solution can also provide data on the patient’s activity that can be of interest to his or her health, such as the number of times they get up to go to the bathroom at night. This contributes to a more comprehensive approach to residents’ and patients’ well-being.
